A flowing, brightly colored impressionistic piece of flowers and petals being carried downstream by the rain.
Inspired by a photo I took of flowers near the Haw River, the image evolved into an almost abstract piece. When I work from a reference, I typically stop referring to it after a while, letting my intuition take the wheel. What resulted was that the image of the river joined the image of the flowers, combining into one piece. So much movement and color emerged which ultimately brought this painting to life.
