This painting was inspired by one of my own photos. I made the colors intentionally vibrant and funky. I played around with yellows and oranges straight from the tube, trying to see if I could make a cohesive, balanced image. The dark green and (almost) black surroundings help the bright colors pop without being overwhelming.
Acrylic on canvas, 8”x8”, 0.5” thick. Wire in place, ready to hang. Original.
